The Atienza Family System is a Filipino Martial Art which is primarily known for the following:
- Atienza Kali: Weapons Based (Knives, Machetes, Bolos, Tomahawks, Long Blade...etc.)
- Atienza Eskrima: Impact Weapons (Bats, Pipes, Batons, Sticks, Special Weapons...etc.)
- Atienza Empty Hands: Empty Hand System if an individual is caught without a weapon or chooses not to deploy one. This usually involves buying enough time to get to a weapon.
The Atienza Family system also utilizes multiple weapons such as two sword; combines weapons of different ranges, such as long sword and dagger; and uses various flexible weapons such as the feared Basagulero and Trapo. Atienza practitioners are responsible for extensive projectile work ranging from screwdrivers, blades of various sizes, combat archery, and lastly firearms. The Atienza Mass Attack training is emphasized with all above variables giving the practitioner the knowledge and ability to maintain the right decision making in both the individual and multiple attacker scenarios one encounters on the streets. The Atienza system has been proven on the battlefield; in competitions; and on the street numerous times for both males and females alike. LEO's, FBI, Spec Ops from all military branches as well as other professional martial artists all find training under the Atienza Banner.
